Our world faces global warming, Peak Oil, water, food and land shortages, growing populations, a waning economy, emerging diseases, pollution and waste, and emerging treatment-resistant diseases. We need people who are trained to think about how to protect and repair our eco-systems and societal systems. “Green jobs” is the catch phrase for the workforce challenges to be filled by a new iteration of employees and leaders well versed in grappling with finding solutions to these looming problems. Without a workforce that understands how to conduct business with skills that are honed to help the environment, our future will continue to be bleak.
